Register as a host, log into the platform and create your profile. Please complete all the asked information. Second, go to “verification” and upload an official ID document to get verified as a host.
Once you have registered, we will contact you to approve you as a FoodRoots hosts by revising if comply with our quality principles.
Fill out the information as complete as possible and upload your pictures under “Add New Listing”. Your listing will only be published once it is approved by our team. To increase the efficiency of the approval process, describe your offer in an easily understandable way and add pictures of adequate quality. If you do not speak English, you can write your text in one of the following languages: German, Spanish, French, Portuguese or Italian.
An overview of all your listings can be accessed on “My Listings”. You can edit your listings anytime, clicking on the “edit” button.
The platform allows guests to book directly, based on the calendar availabilities. Please keep the calendar updated any time to avoid disappointed guests. Available dates can be changed by clicking on each day individually (green is available).
As soon as somebody is interested in your offer, you will receive a message in your “Reservations”. You can now confirm or decline your reservation. Through “Messages”, you will now be able to write with your guests and clarify check-in hours and transport details.
You can create as many listings as you wish and edit them any time.
Keep your reservations organized in a friendly booking calendar interface. The calendar is fully responsive and looks great on any desktop or mobile device.
All prices and fees are detailed on your invoices. Invoices can be downloaded online anytime.
Create a login. Once you are logged in, click on “Profile” on the left side and complete your profile. Your offer will be approved by the FoodRoots team, which might take some days. Please be aware that we can only approve profiles with fully completed information.
Hosts do not need to pay anything to publish their agritourism activities in our platform.
To help hosts focus on providing a memorable experience to guests without worrying about the collection of their payment, we require guests to pay their booking fees directly through the platform at the moment of confirming the reservation. It also increases the commitment that guests have with their appointments to visit a farm.
After consolidating all the payments, the money will be transferred to your bank account at the end of every month (or once you request a payout when the credit due to you is higher than CHF500). You can check at any time the amount of credit due to you in your Wallet.

You can easily create new offers by clicking on the “add new listing” button on the left side after login into the platform. Created listings will be approved by the FoodRoots team before getting published. If you want to edit your listing, go to “listings” and click on the edit button on the right side of the listing.
